You know Bruno. You read his name quite a few times of course at your good old school days. Mr. Giordano Bruno- remember him? The man who had to die because he said something that were too important for us but we were not ready to understand. Perhaps even in 2020 you find some groups of homo sapiens still believe that the sun is orbiting the earth relentlessly, because their forefathers believed it in that way! Not all of these people are actually living in the midst of Amazon or in some mythological caves of Himalayan terrain. They are, may be living beside you, along with you for decades, just next to your apartment, they really exist. Doesn't matter how much forward we can go with science and technologies there will always remain a parallel imaginary world for human. Whatever is the reality- its not always necessarily important in our life. We love to dream, often you dream, most of the time we imagine. The world truly evolved around us because we learned how to imply our imaginary power into productive creativity. That took millions of years. We did many things extremely wrong. But that's how we learnt. We have progressed, it happened gradually. In 2020 if a new Giordano Bruno arise and write a book on a heliocentric world that wont be a significant kind of stuff. Because we already have a Bruno who had taken away all the credits nearly 400 years ago, he even dared to get himself murdered! That murder probably went wrong for those murderers. Because murdering man could not do sufficient to murder man's ideas completely.
The intention of Bruno's murder was not like- that some church priests had a personal issue with him, it was not an act of personal revenge. Rather such kind of murder were an ongoing practice throughout the Europe than! That was a harsh custom, an ultimate punishment system invented to punish people who would supposed to be burning eternally in Hellfire! Church clerics never could tell you how a soul can be burnt in the hell for eternity but they really could show you something even more terrifying- burning a body alive! Even before God declares any judgement for a sinner- God's servants can do anything to him in the name of God!
God is the biggest imagination ever procreated by human intelligence, the biggest imagination of man's history! God is an absolute abstract idea with no concreted visibility. It has become a strong feeling transfused through thousands of years just not because it grew some philosophical propositions which are still sounds appealing to many, but because its an idea that being percolated through hereditary transmission than we came under certain circumstances which play powerful role too. We are not trained to realise how our biological model can get affected in different circumstances. We cant tell how evolution took place within us . Suddenly a Dinosaur transformed into a lizard that is not how animal world evolved. Its a long process. How a cave-living, naked haunter homo-sapiens became a suit-wearing gentleman in 2020? The answer is evolution. And you are satisfied. No need to dig deep. Do you dig deep?
A dog cant tell you how it's forefathers used to live, what they used to do for their living, what is the custom of their marriage, whats the name of his father etc. Dog never had anything to do in the past so that their future generation will be remembering them at someday. But human did so many strange things due to their imaginations (they had some purposes obviously). Pharaohs did make gigantic pyramids amidst of sands exactly for what we don't know- but those are the proves they left behind to tell us how they had been existing on earth. So we can study these and tell you from there how we came up to this! This is how a society, a civilisation transformed. We, human kept a strong chain of historical data and materials that still helping us to know who we were and who we can become! A dog can never ever imagine this type of thing. Can he?
Talking about Evolution and Anthropology- we mostly discuss on how we are changed physically, how our surrounding has been changed gradually- but we speak less, or don't say anything about how our mental world changed! How our cognitive process were affected during the long run of evolution. How we began to see the world differently, when we start to imagine things that are unreal, how we defined unreality and reality- how we were evolving in the realm of our imaginations- that we yet to know seriously. Through hereditary we don't only inherit physical features, we carry mental textures too! The mind (imaginary subject) is concentrated inside your brain and you have X-factors, the genes! Believing God is a systematic genetic transmission in that way i dare to say. What your forefather were doing since hundreds of years you cant simply get rid of that. More on that its not only a family trend. Its an super-imagination that is still being imagined by multitudes. You are born and brought up there, just in the middle of it. In a way you are trapped, and you are not responsible for what has happened to you.
To take ourselves out from any unreal imagination will be a tough battle. You know how? A person who does not believe in any unreal entity as God but still addicted to pornography whereas he knows this too is goddamn unreal! You say you don't believe in ghost, but you love to watch horror movie almost once in a week. Why? Because howsoever logical we are- we cant simply live in gross reality for 24 hours. Our brain cant do that! We love to fancy things. We write, we sing- we become pessimistic, optimistic time to time, these are beyond logical sense. Still we do. Our life is not regulated by some lifeless logic! The more we imagine the more we become lively! We are not piece of stone. But there should be a parameter of imagination by which standard we can tell you that you are not schizophrenic! Imagination too must be controlled! We have invented drugs that can manipulate our thoughts, our imaginations! But an imagination, when its in an individual's mind that can be altered may be- but think about an imagination that is invaded entire globe, its no longer a mere imagination. It has already become truth. An unpleasant truth from realistic philosophical prospect! Telling a non-existent existing, accepting it in your life even before you know anything about it- is a bad reality. The most unreal thing can become real- when you just believe it! Such is the power of believing. God is not an imagination anymore, its a belief, its a diversified belief-system hued in multifarious ways in various civilisations! Even in the most uncivilised society we will find a supreme God! Here actually I am not pointing the question of God's existent, I am trying to point out a scenario where God is a kind of imaginable truth alone! There cant be a truth more bigger and more important than God! Such a strong imagination, such a strong emotion that could make you to do anything as if you are hypnotised! A man is ready to kill another man because he denied to accept his God! A man denied to accept some texts written in book whereas some others believe these are God's divine sayings- then because of his denial he must be perished! This is what happened with Giordano Bruno 400 years ago, and this is still happening somewhere in the world and we have no solution to prevent this things to be happening chronically! God want some of us to die in that way! Because I imagined a world without his supremacy!
I cant claim the sun is hovering around the earth- because somehow we have earned proves to nullify that claim disastrously! But regarding God we are confused. Confusion brings chaos. Co-fusion with faith and logic may be better. But they became opponent for each other. When animosity evoked, knowledge began to fade away. The believer's bigotry is being harassed by non-believers bigotry. Fanaticism is being questioned by another fanaticism. One imagination is being attacked by another imagination. Some people are imagining that at the end of the universe the entire world population will be converted into their beliefs, some people imagine the world will come under socialist's flag one-day and all existing religious beliefs will be vanished! These iconoclastic imaginations of destroying others by any mean- are going to bring no good for us! Imagination cant be exempted by counter-imagination.
